West village penthouse

A cottage style planting in a duplex, West Village penthouse garden.  The palette of plants is heavy with flowers, Hydrangeas, Salvias, Buddleias, Rhododendron, Wisteria and climbing Roses and punctuated with more formal notes of clipped Boxwood and religiously pruned conifers.  Our goal in designing this space was to create a sense of privacy and enclosure on a windy NYC rooftop, and I believe we’ve achieved that.
